Organizational Training and Consulting
Create spaces where people can participate, make choices, and be heard.
What happens when someone asks for access, sets a boundary, or challenges the way things are done? That is where organizational culture shows up. We can work on what happens next.

Hire me for: Staff workshops, leadership coaching, consent culture assessments, and reviews of everyday organizational practice.
See my work in action
Ableism & cultural humility
Read the 2023 CTEBVI program, session 405. This workshop examined disability-based oppression, professional assumptions, and the effects of microaggressions.
Sex positive everyday practice
Read the 2017 CTEBVI program (PDF) for my workshop on incorporating sex positive messages into work with blind and low vision young people.
Consent in professional interactions
Read my Braille Monitor article on consent in orientation & mobility or listen to Do You Consent with Bobbi Pompey.
An organization’s culture shows up in everyday interactions: who gets included, whose concerns are taken seriously, how assistance is offered, and whether people can decline without pressure or retaliation.
As a public health professional, sexual health professional, and sexologist, I help organizations understand how ableism, power, consent, and accessibility shape those experiences. Together, we can identify barriers and develop practical ways to support participation, autonomy, and belonging.
Sexual health training for educators & teams
I train the people whose everyday responses shape whether someone can ask a sexual health question, access information, or make a choice about their body. This includes teachers, blindness and rehabilitation professionals, public health educators, and community organizations.
We can examine what a curriculum leaves out, how to explain anatomy without relying on pictures, and how to discuss pleasure, safer sex, gender, relationships, and sexual autonomy without shame. We can also practice responding to questions, setting professional boundaries, and recognizing when a referral is needed.
My professional education experience includes a Planned Parenthood Northern California train-the-trainers session using disability humility, university teaching for future blindness professionals, and conference workshops on sex positive education, ableism, and consent. Cultural humility and attention to internalized ableism help connect the material with the people your team serves.
Who I work with
I work with schools, nonprofits, community organizations, professional teams, educators, and service providers. Support can help you begin a conversation, respond to concerns, or strengthen practices your organization already values.
Training and workshops
Let’s Talk About Ableism explores assumptions, microaggressions, internalized messages, and barriers in organizational life.
Building a Culture of Consent addresses communication, boundaries, autonomy, and respect in everyday interactions.
Consent for Leadership examines how power affects choice, trust, supervision, accountability, and decision-making. Leadership and executive coaching can support continued reflection and practice.
Accessible Interaction and Blind Inclusion covers respectful communication, access needs, offering assistance, and common assumptions about blindness.
Custom sessions can address workplace boundaries, LGBTQ+ inclusion, sexual health, disability justice, and power. For blindness professionals and educators, this can include consent in independent living skills and orientation and mobility instruction.
From learning to everyday practice
We can examine how your team:
- Organizes meetings, programs, learning activities, and communication.
- Asks about access and shares responsibility for meeting access needs.
- Responds when someone raises a concern or sets a boundary.
- Handles power differences among leaders, staff, participants, and families.
- Talks about disability, sexuality, relationships, and autonomy.
- Supports choices without taking over.
Consent culture is an ongoing practice involving leadership, supervision, feedback, and accountability. Disability justice asks whose needs and knowledge shape the organization and how access can become a shared responsibility.
Cultural humility matters when people have different experiences, identities, languages, and expectations. We can practice listening and checking assumptions while examining who has power to define the problem and its response.
Support beyond a workshop
I offer consent culture assessments, leadership strategy sessions, facilitated team conversations, and reviews of program materials and everyday practices. We can develop educational resources, sample language, curriculum feedback, implementation steps, and ways to review progress.
Formats include 60 to 90 minute workshops, half-day or full-day training, multi-session series, guest lectures, conference presentations, and tailored conversations. Facilitation pays attention to choice, pacing, access, and the pressure people can feel to disclose personal experiences.
Formal policy development and research advising are also available through Policy & Systems Change.
This work connects to creating supportive environments.
